PROCEDURE

Step 1

Remove any dust from the ceramic piece. Use a wet sponge.

Elimina todo el polvo de las piezas. Utiliza una esponja húmeda.

Step 2

Place an amount of the dark green stain on your palette. Using the shader brush apply two coats of the green stain to the whole piece. Allow the piece to dry between coats.

VERIFY that there are no white spots showing. It is important to cover all the area. And remember to paint the bottom of your ceramic piece.

Paso 2

Deposita pintura verde obscuro sobre tu paleta. Utilizando un pincel chato cubre todo el árbol de Navidad con este color.

VERIFICA que no hayan puntos sin color. Es importante que la pieza esté totalmente cubierta del color base.

Recuerda pintar la pieza por debajo. Aplica dos capas de pintura y permite que cada capa de pintura seque antes de aplicar la próxima.

Step 3

After the last coat of paint is totally dry, you will start with the drybrushing technique.

Paso 3

Después que la última capa de pintura se haya secado completamente, comenzarás con la técnica de pincel seco. 

Step 4

Place an amount of the lime green stain on your palette. Now you will use the special brush for the drybrushing technique.

The procedure is as follows:
  1. Load your brush with the stain on your palette. DO NOT overload it.

  2. Wipe the brush on a piece of brown paper or a paper towel. Move the brush from side to side or in a circular motion over the paper. Reduce the stain from your brush until you have a minimum amount of color.

  3. Drybrush across the details of the trees. Paint that way all the trees branches. Do not paint the crevices, under the branches or inside the recess created by both trees.

  4. Drybrush the base and the back of the piece.

  5. You decide how much color you want on your piece.

Paso 4

Pon pintura verde limón en tu loza. Vas a utilizar el pincel para pintar en seco.

El procedimiento es el siguiente:
  1. Moja el pincel con la pintura en tu loza. NO lo sobrecargues de pintura.

  2. Mueve el pincel de un lado al otro o en forma circular, sobre el papel de estraza o sobre un papel toalla. Reduce el tinte que tenga el pincel a una cantidad mínima.

  3. Pintando sobre los detalles de la pieza, cubre las ramas del árbol evitando pintar las hendiduras, el interior de la entrada formada por los árboles y la parte de abajo de las ramas.

  4. Pinta la base del árbol y la parte de atrás de la pieza.

  5. Tú decidirás la cantidad de color que deseas en tu pieza.

Step 5

Place on your palette an amount of yellow green stain. Repeat the drybrushing procedure described in step 4. This time paint only the ends of the branches.

This will complete the decoration of your Christmas tree. Now we will proceed to paint the Nativity figurines.

Paso 5

Pon en tu paleta el tinte verde amarillo. Realiza el mismo procedimiento de pincel seco del paso 4. Esta vez pintarás solamente las puntas de las ramas.

Con este paso terminarás el árbol. Ahora procederemos a pintar las figuras del Nacimiento.

Step 6

Place an amount of your metallic stain on your palette. Using your round brush basecoat the Nativity figurines with the metallic stain.

Paso 6

Vierte tinte metálico en tu paleta. Utilizando el pincel redondo de cerdas suaves, cubre las figuras que componen el Nacimiento.

Step 7

Optional - Use a matte or gloss sealer to give additional protection to your project.

You have finished your pieces.

 Paso 7

Opcional - Sella la pieza con un sellador matte o de brillo para proteger mejor tu proyecto. 

Tus piezas están terminadas.
