PROCEDURE

Step 1

Remove any dust from the ceramic piece with a wet sponge.

Step 2

Place an amount of the flesh stain on your tile. Using the shader brush apply one or two coats of the color to the clown's face.

DO NOT PAINT THE CIRCLE AROUND THE MOUTH.

Step 3

Place an amount of the white stain, the dark blue stain, the gray blue stain and the black stain on your tile or palette.

Using your round brush paint the eyeballs with the white stain. Paint the irises with the gray blue stain.

Outline the iris with the dark blue stain, using your liner brush. Use the black stain for the pupil (use a round brush).

Paint a tiny white dot or a comma on the pupil. Use your detail brush.

Paint the eyelashes.

Paso 3

Vierte en tu loza una pequeña cantidad de tinte blanco, azul obscuro, azul grisáceo y negro.

Usando el pincel redondo pinta el globo de los ojos de blanco. Pinta el iris del ojo con el azul grisáceo.

Delinea el ojo con el tinte azul obscuro usando el pincel delineador.

Cubre la pupila de negro. (Usa un pincel redondo).

Pinta un pequeño punto o coma blanco en la pupila de los ojos. Usa tu pincel de detallar.

Pinta las pestañas.

Place an amount of white stain on your tile and using your round brush paint the circle around the mouth.

Use your shader brush to basecoat the hat border, the collar and sleeves flounce.

Divide the hat and dress in two equal parts. Paint the right side of the dress, the right side of the hat, the entire left sleeve and the right sleeve ruffle in white also.

Vierte tinte blanco en tu loza o paleta y utilizando tu pincel redondo cubre el círculo alrededor de la boca.

Usa tu pincel chato para pintar de blanco el volante del sombrero, el cuello y el volante de las mangas.

Divide el sombrero y el traje en dos partes iguales.

Pinta el lado derecho del traje, el lado derecho del sombrero, la manga izquierda y el volante de la manga derecha de color blanco también.

Basecoat the hair with the redish orange stain. Drybrush the hair with the bright yellow.

Cubre el pelo con el color anaranjado rojizo. A pincel seco aplica el amarillo brillante.

Sponging -- Procedure:

You will need your tile, the fuschia and the yellow stain, a piece of paper and your sponge.

Place a small amount of both stains on your tile.

Using your DRY sponge, touch softly the fuschia stain. Eliminate the excess stain by pounding the sponge against the paper.

Start painting small spots of color over the clown's dress.

Touch the area softly. You are going to do this step on the side you painted with the white opaque stain.

Leave enough space for sponging with yellow stain.

Pintando con Esponja -- Procedimiento:

Necesitarás tu loza, el tinte fuschia y el amarillo rojizo, un papel y la esponja.

Pon un poco de los tintes sobre tu loza.

Usando tu esponja SECA, toca el tinte fuschia suavemente. Luego golpea levemente la esponja sobre un papel para eliminar el exceso de tinte.

Comienza a pintar pequeñas manchas de color sobre el traje del payaso. Toca el área lo más suavemente que puedas. Harás este paso en el lado que pintaste con el tinte opaco blanco.

Deja espacio para realizar el mismo procedimiento con el tinte amarillo.

Step 7

Use the pink stain to paint the clown's cheeks. Employ the "drybrush technique".

With the round brush cover the lips with the pink color.

Color the nose with the violet stain.

Paso 7

Cubre las mejillas del payaso con el tinte rosa empleando la técnica de pincel seco.

Con el pincel redondo pinta los labios y la nariz. Usa el color rosa y violeta respectivamente.

Paint the eyes designs with the gold color.

***************************************

Pinta el diseño de los ojos color oro.

Paint the left side of the hat, the left side of the dress, and the right sleeve with the antique tusk stain.

(OMIT THE SLEEVES RUFFLES)

Paso 9

Cubre de antique tusk el lado izquierdo del sombrero, el lado izquierdo del traje y la manga derecha.

(OMITE LOS VOLANTES DE LAS MANGAS.)

Using the white pearl stain color the area already painted with antique tusk.

Paint the lips with the pearl stain too.

Paso 10

Utilizando el tinte blanco perlado cubre todas las áreas pintadas con el tinte antique tusk.

Cubre los labios con el color perlado también.

Step 11

Now we have to antique the piece. We must use the gold wash to do it. You should antique the area painted with the pearl stain totally. The other area of the dress should be antiqued only in the crevices.

We will explain the reason for this step in our class discussion.

Ahora nos toca anticuar la pieza. Para hacerlo utilizamos el oro de anticuar. Debes anticuar la parte perlada completamente.

Paint the dress button with the gold stain.

Seal the eyes with the brush on gloss sealer.

Seal the piece with the matte or porcelain sealer.

Sella la pieza con el sellador de porcelana o mate.

Step 14

Using the glue attach the pom-pom to the clown's hat.

You have finished your project.
